He deserves a reward!

Most of you have probably heard the story of Fresno California's Victor Perez. But for those who haven't here is the brief story.

An 8 year old girl was recently abducted from her yard by a stranger and was the object of an intensive overnight search. And thanks to a quick acting citizen, who when seeing a truck fitting the description given by witnesses of the abduction. And then who without a second thought immediatly jumped into his own truck and proceeded to pursue the kidnapper's vehicle, though cautiously at first while trying to get the drivers attention. Then upon seeing the girls head pop up he then quickly cut the kidnapper's vehicle off, thus prompting the kidnapper to shove the young girl out the passengers door who was promptly scooped up by Victor Perez.

Thus preventing what could have been an all to famaliar and far too often occuring tragic story. As the 8 year old girl was returned to her mother alive Tuesday after a dramatic rescue by quick acting Victor Perez, whom we've since learned has for the past three years been an unemployed construction worker who has to young boys of his own.

Now the reason for this hub is simply this, although Victor has stated that he would simply be happy if a full time job back in construction came from this. I say if there's anyone who deserves a reward its Victor. And it seems I'm not alone in this thinking, as the local news station in Fresno has stated, "it has been flooded with calls and emails with the same request."

So I myself being unemployed have still decided that $100 although not much is within my budget to send to someone who showed true unselfishness, and without thought acted in such a heroic manner. I also want to offer this hub as a means to provide the information to any of you who can or feel prompted to also reward one of our great Americans. I feel Victor Perez in preventing the probable outcome for this young girl, as well as saving one mother from a life of anguish is well deserving of any gift we can give him!

God Bless You Victor Perez!

Duly noted. I never heard this story as I don't watch much TV news anymore. Wonderful tribute to a true hero. Kudos. Charlie

Yeah Charlie, it was a heartwarming story for sure. Nice to hear about someone taking action without a second thought to help someone else's child. Unlike you I'm afraid I watch to much news and often these stories don't end very well. So you are so right in your kudos. And thanks for stopping by my hub Charlie. I hope you recovered from your wee illness as well.

Beautiful hub and wonderful tribute to a true hero. What a wonderful man, his family should be so proud of him. The kind of man we'd all love as our neighbor. Thank you for sharing this wonderful hub.
